ELECTRIC BRAKE CONTROL MODULEКUА 14-1 AND КUА14-2


This electric brake control modules are two different versions of one device. KUA 14-2 is designed for installation on new diesel locomotives of 2 TE116 series, and installation of KUA14-1 may be done during the modernization and upgrading of older diesel vehicles. Electric brake control module КUА 14-1(2) is designed to work on diesel locomotive of 2TE116 series in the traction alternator excitation control circuit in electrodynamics braking mode. KUA 14-1(2) jointly operated with the traction alternator excitation unit and supports the transfer into tapped field in tractive motors and over speed protection.
Blocks KUA14-1 (2) operates under the following conditions:
  • range of ambient temperatures from minus 40 to plus 50° С; 
  • operating conditions, under different climatic parameters, correspond to category U, placement category 3, according to GOST 15150;  
  • under mechanical stress - operating group M25 in accordance with GOST 17516;
